Friday - Day Two

Well, this is definitely NOT south Louisiana weather!! The temperatures had been falling since Thursday afternoon and the rains had turned to wintry mix but to wake on Friday morning only to discover snow falling, well that was just too much! I say too much but no, poor Nana was snuggled on the sofa with Riggs who had awakened VERY early in the morning and not gone back to sleep!!



As I looked out into the yard, this is what I saw . . . and the plopping sound of the frozen precip was almost deafening!!



Looking back to the house, precious little Riggs is standing at the window.



Because today is the day that Nana and PopPop planned their little getaway to Nottaway Plantation, there was much concern about the snowing and possible effects for travel!! Baton Rouge was expected to get a couple of inches of snow!! YIKES!!

By the time Auntie arrived around 2:30, there was just a little drizzle so Nana and PopPop were able to get on the road around 3 for their evening with BR friends at Nottaway. Miia and her friend, along with Emma entertained the babies for a good while. Once Miss Tarah arrived, and the monitors were all set up, Dearie headed upstairs for a little quiet time . . . a good, hot bath and some reading followed by a full night's sleep!
