a thought or two . . .

Mike, Wanda and I laughed regularly about all we were experiencing as the "baby sitters" for Avery and Riggs. Consensus was that with all the reality TV these days, we could have starred in and produced at least a handful of episodes that would have split the sides of anyone fortunate enough to watch . . . but then, those cameras would have been in the way of our fun and enjoyment.

The past six days spent with Avery and Riggs have been possibly the most wonderful time I've had in nearly thirty years. There's little in life so heart-warming as are my darlings. Seeing their happy little faces and out-stretched arms, holding them close, their little laughs and funny sounds as they try so hard to talk (in a language that I've long since forgotten!) and the way they just seem to believe in everything good. I thought I was blessed all those years ago when I daily loved my own babies into toddlerhood but, they were mine, of course I love them. Avery and Riggs are not my babies yet I love them both so much and enjoy all of their antics. I cannot imagine my life without them in it.

I am grateful that Anne and Tim gave me (with Nana and PopPop) the opportunity to spend quality time with Avery and Riggs.
