Its Game Day!!

Dearie snapped this shot of Mommie and her l'il Tiger fans just before she and Daddy headed out for the game. All sweetness!! I thoroughly enjoyed my day with my Darlings!

After kisses and hugs, Avery and Riggs snacked on red jello! We played outside, then they wanted a morning nap (I guess so! They had all that anesthetic on Friday when they got tubes in their ears and adenoids removed!!) Besides, the crib is the only place one can enjoy a Nunu!!

Though my Darlings had kissed their parents good bye, Avery and Riggs were anxious to ask: "Where Mommie?" "Where Daddy?" Each time, I would tell my Darlings that Mommie and Daddy went to Baton Rouge to see the Tigers play football and that they would be home at dark time. Later in the day, Riggs would ask, "where Mommie?" and before I start my line, Avery answered him with "Mommie Daddy bye-bye!" Riggs caught on while we were playing outside . . . "Mommie foofball!" Daddy foofball!" tooo cute, I tell you! Too cute!

By the time they woke from naptime, it was lunch and Avery helped Dearie get that food to the table (outside table!). When lunch was finished, we played on the roller coaster and the slides. We rode our cars all over the yard and managed to get "tuck" by the sugar kettle at the back!

I regularly asked if they wanted to take a nap, reminding them they could have a Nunu!! No way, they were ready to play! Avery asked several times, "Nunu?" I reminded her that she could only have a Nunu in the crib and asked if she wanted to go to bed? "Noooh!"

As I was folding a load of towels, I noticed that Avery was sorting through the toy box beneath the television? I asked if she needed help and she told me, "Noooh!" She kept digging. I went to put the kitchen cloths away and as I rounded the corner, voila!

Avery had found her lovie pacifier in the toy box and wasted absolutely NO TIME showing me what she'd found. When I asked her for the Nunu, she gave it to me right away . . . I placed it on the breakfast table as she and I went into the living room to put the toys back into the toy box.

Alas, Riggs, not to be deprived of a little Nunu time, pulled the lovie off the table.

He was NONE TO HAPPY TO GIVE IT UP!! But, still not interested in going to nap time!!

We played in the playroom and read book after book. No such animal as an afternoon nap! We just kept on playing . . . outside again! More roller coastering, alittle swinging and then Avery's sing-a-long: "twinka, twinka, upaba da sky!" Clearly, the abbreviated version of the song but . . . everytime she uttered "sky," Riggs would look up and say: "airpang!"

A long day but a really good day!!
