This morning I thought, before I get out to run errands, I would stop by to see my Darlings and Mommie's first embroidery attempt, a pair of panties for the future Mrs. Killen. The Darlings were both napping, Mommie had already boxed the gift and Daddy had everything well under control. We visited a little and Daddy explained his "study style" for his upcoming Louisiana bar exam. Avery woke and while I played with her, Daddy grabbed a quick shower! It was time for the morning baumbies and oddly enough, Avery drank the entire bottle (which is a little change as she hasn't been doing that lately!). Just about the time Daddy finished his shower, Riggs woke! He had his baumbie and then, we played!
Mommie was out running errands. I grabbed my groceries out of the fridge and was just about to leave when Mommie returned. She had bought a new top to wear at the shower tonight. Problem? The top was a size SMALL and Mommie is a size SMALL PLUS. Although she was prepared to just slit the sides of the top so it wouldn't cling to her fannie like plastic wrap, she did manage to ask Dearie if there was anyhing that could be done. I looked at the garment. The hem was machine stitched (no machine at Mommie's). I'd have to take out the hem in order to rip out the side seams . . . oh my, it could be a troblesome task.
In a little more than an hour, Dearie managed to do all the work by hand and was able to add one inch around the hip area so that the top fit like Mommie wanted!
Daddy got his bag prepped for an outing with the Darlings . . . a trip to the park to feed the ducks! Daddy's post informed all that there were about 100 children out feeding the ducks . . . the four ducks!
Mommie finished getting ready for her trip to New Orleans for the big shower and finally got on the road. On her way out of town (on Johnston Street) she passed Bordon's. She noticed a stroller with two babies and she thought, how cute? Then, she realized the two babies were HERS!
Daddy treated the Darlings to ice cream . . . what a happy thing following the outing at the park! All I know about the ice cream stop is that Avery's new "favorite" food is hot fudge sundae!!
What Darlings!!!
